A few simple tips to care for your pony leather shoes:
Our "pony" leathers come from specialized European tanneries that excel in this specific craftsmanship. They are made from the full-grain side of hides that are not shaved.
Pony leathers require very little maintenance:
- Waterproof your shoes before their first use.
- Dust them if necessary using a soft brush, following the direction of the hair.
- If stained, you can use a damp cloth—be careful not to rub the leather too vigorously, as this could damage it.
This type of leather is more sensitive to abrasion. We recommend taking care of it and avoiding friction as much as possible. If in doubt, we advise you to entrust your shoes to a trusted cobbler.
