We work with reknowned tanneries in Europe and have very high standards when it comes to selecting our leathers. Here are some simple tips to care for them and maintain their nice aspect over time.
General tips
- Use a waterproof spray before the first use and repeat monthly, especially if they are made in suede; this will prevent your shoes from staining in the rain.
- Wear them for a few hours after your purchase, to allow the leather to relax and adapt to the shape of your feet.
- Store your pairs carefully and use shoe trees inside your shoes to preserve their nice shape (or alternatively, use the tissue paper provided with your pairs).
- Care for your shoes. Leather is a natural material that requires hydration and proper care. Each type of leather requires specific care; find our specific recommendations in the material guides.
- If caught in a downpour, let your shoes air dry away from a heat source, and stuff them with tissue paper. This will prevent them from deforming or stiffening.
- Most of our styles come with rubber inserts to protect the soles. When they don't, especially if you live in a humid area, we recommend having a cobbler put one on.
